Significant Decline in Polio Cases Across Pakistan; National Polio Campaign to Be Held from April 21 to 27

Islamabad: A significant decline in the spread and cases of the poliovirus has been observed in Pakistan following confirmation that 35 environmental samples from 31 districts tested negative for the virus.
According to the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), poliovirus was detected in 25 environmental samples collected from 20 districts. In response, a nationwide polio vaccination campaign will be held from April 21 to 27.
During the campaign, over 45 million children will be administered polio drops. Authorities are urging parents to ensure their children receive the vaccine during the campaign.
Consistent vaccination not only boosts immunity but also protects children from polio. Health officials emphasize the importance of completing the full immunization schedule on time to safeguard children from polio and other life-threatening diseases.
