SIFF’s Positive Role Boosts Exports and Paves Way for Economic Growth

Islamabad:The support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFF) has played a key role in increasing exports and facilitating economic growth in Pakistan. Thanks to SIFF’s assistance, exports have reached $28 million, with a remarkable 179% increase in the export of sesame seeds to China.
In line with the Prime Minister’s vision for export development, Pakistan’s auto industry is gearing up to establish a strong presence in the global market. A significant milestone has been achieved with Honda’s first shipment of 40 Honda City vehicles being exported to Japan. This marks a golden opportunity for local auto manufacturers to expand exports, with the government also committed to supporting these manufacturers through favorable policies.
During the first eight months of the current fiscal year, non-textile exports increased by 2.3%, reaching $9.8 billion. Notable progress has been seen in the export of petroleum crude oil, which saw a 100% increase, cement exports rising by 26%, and jewelry exports growing by 66%.
Furthermore, the launch of exports from the Gwadar Free Zone is another positive step taken by the government. The approval of 10,000 tons of annual potassium sulfate fertilizer exports is expected to significantly boost trade. SIFF’s facilitation has also attracted investment to the Gwadar zone, and it is expected that potassium sulfate fertilizer exports will reach $7 million by 2025.
The consistent growth in exports facilitated by SIFF is proving to be a crucial factor in stabilizing the national economy, marking significant progress towards sustainable economic development.
