Sibi Mela and its Economic and Cultural Significance: Sardar Koheyar Khan Domki
Sibi: Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce, Sardar Koheyar Khan Domki, stated that the Sibi Mela holds significant historical and cultural value. It provides a crucial platform for farmers, landowners, and livestock breeders. Every year, a large number of people bring their livestock to the Sibi Mela, where they are sold at competitive prices. This not only increases their income but also helps promote livestock breeding in the province.
He mentioned that this year’s Sibi Mela witnessed the trade of livestock worth millions of rupees, which will have positive economic impacts. The event not only strengthens the local economy but also opens new opportunities in Balochistan’s agricultural and livestock sectors.
Sardar Koheyar Khan Domki further emphasized that, under the special guidance of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, special measures were taken to ensure the success and peace of the event. He acknowledged the role of various security and administrative bodies, including the Commissioner of Sibi Division, Deputy Commissioner of Sibi, police, Balochistan Constabulary, and FC, in maintaining law and order and providing better services during the event.
