Sheikh Rashid Expresses Concern Over 36,000 Cases in Four Months, Urges Prayer for Light and Progress

Leader of the Awami Muslim League, Sheikh Rashid, has expressed concern over the growing number of legal cases, stating that “everywhere there is darkness, pray for light.” He highlighted that over 36,000 cases have been registered in the past four months, making it a difficult task to conclude them in such a short span of time.
Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi, former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said, “In four months, over 36,000 cases have been filed. Bringing 36,000 cases to completion in just four months is a challenging task.”
He further added, “Everywhere there is darkness, pray that light comes, Pakistan progresses, and the poor become better.”
It is important to note that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed the Anti-Terrorism Courts to conduct daily trials for cases related to the tragic incident of May 9, 2023, and deliver judgments within four months. The court has also ordered progress reports every 15 days to be submitted to the Chief Justice of the relevant High Court.
