Shahid Afridi Urges Pakistan Cricket Team to Perform Against India in Upcoming Match

Karachi:Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has emphasized the need for every player to perform at their best if Pakistan is to secure a victory against India. Speaking on a popular sports program, “Zor Ka Jor” on Sama TV, Afridi stressed that all players must contribute in order to clinch a win in the upcoming match.
Afridi added that wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan has a strong fighting spirit, and the team is prepared to battle hard on the field. “If we want to win against India, every player must step up. Rizwan knows how to lead the team in tough situations, and Pakistan will fight till the end,” he said.
Discussing the team’s selection, Afridi noted that some mistakes were made, but he remains hopeful for improvement. He emphasized that team performance is key to securing a win.
Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar, who was also part of the program, highlighted the threat posed by Shaheen Shah Afridi with the new ball, calling him dangerous for India. He also advised the Indian team to play four spinners against Pakistan, suggesting that Bumrah’s absence could work in Pakistan’s favor.
In addition, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh pointed out that India’s fielding performance against Bangladesh wasn’t up to the mark but expressed hope that the team would avoid such errors in future matches.
Cricket legends agreed that the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match would be a true test of nerves, with the team that performs well across all three departments—batting, bowling, and fielding—being the one to come out on top.
