Hub:The bridge near the Shah Noorani shrine, which was swept away during recent monsoon floods, has yet to be repaired, causing significant difficulties for visitors and locals. Claims by the Department of Construction and Communications have proven to be false, as the bridge has remained unrepaired for over a month.
Located just a few kilometers from the Shah Noorani shrine, the bridge collapsed during heavy rainfall, disrupting access for thousands of pilgrims who visit the site daily. The district administration has not yet taken any measures for the bridge’s restoration, further exacerbating the situation.
Visitors report that the already dangerous roads leading to the shrine are now more perilous, with government negligence and substandard work by the contractor posing risks of serious accidents. Pilgrims have urged the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the Commissioner of Qalat, and the Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar to expedite the repair work.
While officials from the Balochistan Department of Construction and Communications claimed shortly after the rains that restoration efforts were underway across the province, the ground reality starkly contrasts with these assertions. Visitors continue to struggle with access to the shrine, highlighting the urgent need for action from local authorities.
