Karachi:A distressing incident of sexual assault involving a 12-year-old girl has surfaced in Sirjani Town, Karachi, leading to the arrest of the suspect by the police.
The case was registered at Sirjani Town police station based on the complaint filed by the girl’s mother, and the police have also taken the statement of the victim. Local residents apprehended the suspect, Barkat, and handed him over to the police.
The girl’s mother informed the police that her daughter had gone to a nearby store in the afternoon but did not return. Residents later informed her that the girl had been taken by a person named Barkat to a house.
The victim recounted to the police that Barkat forcibly took her to a house, where he allegedly administered an injection that caused her to lose consciousness. When she regained consciousness, she realized she had been sexually assaulted.
According to the police, the girl has undergone medical examination, and further action will be taken based on the report.
Sindh’s Minister for Interior, Dr. Insaf Wazir, has taken note of the incident and directed the SSP West to provide details.
The Minister has instructed that a thorough investigation be conducted and legal action be taken against the suspect, ensuring the safety and protection of the victim and her family.
The incident has sparked outrage and concern among local residents and authorities, emphasizing the need for swift justice and support for the victim and her family during this challenging time.
