Severe Rainfall Predicted Across Pakistan Including Karachi

Karachi:The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted severe rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms across various parts of the country, including Karachi, the federal capital, and Quaid-e-Azam’s city. According to the department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, central and southern Punjab, Sindh, and northeastern Balochistan are expected to experience heavy rainfall.
In specific regions such as northeastern Punjab, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, isolated locations may also witness gusty winds, thunderstorms, and lightning alongside precipitation. Likewise, rapid showers are anticipated in southern Punjab, northeastern Balochistan, and upper southeastern Sindh.
In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, apart from continued warm and humid conditions, the possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms has been indicated. Additionally, swift winds and rainfall are expected in several areas including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Buner, Kohat, Bajaur, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Waziristan, Bannu, Lucky Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan.
The cities of Murree, Gilgit, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Layyah, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, and Kot may also experience thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning.
Balochistan provinces like Lasbela, Khuzdar, Awaran, Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Sherani, Kohlu, Harnai, Sibi, Loralai, Nasirabad, Jhal Magsi, and Jafarabad are likely to experience strong winds and rainfall, with some areas possibly facing torrential downpours.
In Sindh, locations such as Sukkur, Kashmore, Khairpur, Larkana, Dadu, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Karachi, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Shahid Benazirabad, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mithi, and Mirpur Khas may expect intense winds, thunderstorms, and lightning, along with rain in some areas.
Moreover, in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partly cloudy conditions are expected to persist alongside strong winds and the potential for rainfall in isolated areas.
