Severe Cold Grips Qalat, Life Paralyzed as Temperatures Drop to Minus 8°C

Qalat:A bone-chilling cold front has paralyzed daily life in Qalat, with temperatures recorded at a staggering minus 8°C. The severe weather conditions have left the city in a state of crisis, with residents facing unprecedented hardships.

The gas supply remains completely cut off, forcing residents to rely on costly alternatives like LPG gas and firewood, which are beyond the financial reach of many. The freezing temperatures have also caused water pipelines to freeze, leading to a severe shortage of drinking water.

Local elected officials, however, seem to remain unaffected, as they are reportedly out of the area and enjoying all available comforts, while the common people are left struggling. Public frustration has mounted as they continue to face these dire conditions without any relief in sight.

Amidst rising inflation, the prices of essential heating materials such as LPG and firewood have skyrocketed, further burdening the already struggling population. Public circles are urgently demanding immediate measures to address the gas crisis and alleviate the suffering of the people in Qalat.
