Senior PTI Leader and Former Punjab Governor Omar Sarfaraz Cheema Granted Bail in Anti-Terrorism Court

Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has granted post-arrest bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and former Punjab Governor, Omar Sarfaraz Cheema, in connection with the Shadman Police Station arson case.
The court’s ruling came after the hearing of the case related to the May 9th incident involving the burning and rioting at Shadman Police Station. Judge Manzar Gul, the administrative judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court, delivered the verdict.
Cheema’s lawyer, Hassan Yusuf Shah, presented his arguments in court, and the judge ordered that the former governor submit a surety bond worth one lakh rupees as a condition for his bail.
Omar Sarfaraz Cheema had filed a post-arrest bail application, seeking release from detention in the case concerning the violent protests that took place on May 9th.
