Quetta:Senior politician and former Senator Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani has described the large-scale protests and sacrifices by thousands of people in Balochistan as a referendum against the state’s system. He emphasized that those who currently hold positions in the assembly based on Form 47 and electoral tenders will one day be held accountable for the ongoing violence.
In a strong condemnation, Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani stated that the ongoing intense protests by Baloch youth and women reflect their discontent with the state’s fraudulent political system and exploitative policies. He described the mass protests and sacrifices as a direct referendum against the state’s system. According to him, the state and its powerful institutions have subjected Balochistan to political, social, economic, and societal exploitation, leading to the eruption of this ‘volcano’ of discontent.
Raisani warned that if the current state attitude persists, future conditions could become even more perilous. He asserted that those in power, who issued orders to suppress the protests with violence, will eventually have to answer for their actions. The people of Balochistan, represented by genuine political figures and historians, will demand answers for the bloodshed and oppression inflicted upon peaceful protesters.
In his message to political activists, Raisani urged them to continue their efforts for the prosperity of future generations with seriousness and organization.
