Senator Nawab Arbab Umar Farooq Kasi Pays Tribute to Martyrs Khan Jelani Khan Achakzai and Asad Khan Achakzai
Quetta:The senior vice president of the Awami National Party (ANP) in Balochistan, Senator Nawab Arbab Umar Farooq Kasi, has paid rich tribute to martyrs Khan Jelani Khan Achakzai and Asad Khan Achakzai on the occasion of their 14th and 4th martyrdom anniversaries, respectively. In his tribute, Senator Kasi emphasized the importance of their contributions to the national, political, and democratic struggles, stating that both martyrs truly followed the principles of Bacha Khan in their lives.
He remarked, “Martyrs Khan Jelani Khan Achakzai and Asad Khan Achakzai were true adherents of the ideals of Bacha Khan. Their sacrifices are an invaluable part of our history, especially at a time when the Pashtun Afghan homeland faces existential threats. The values and traditions they upheld are being trampled upon, their dignity is compromised, and foreign powers continue to exploit their resources. Our land is being used as fuel in a never-ending war.”
Senator Kasi further pointed out that the current political and social situation in Pashtun regions calls for unity and consensus. “The circumstances demand that, as a nation, we maintain our solidarity and strive to uphold our values,” he said.
He urged the party workers to actively participate in the public gathering to be held in Chaman on the anniversary. He called on them to fulfill their national and patriotic duties and to honor the sacrifices of the martyrs by showing their strength and unity.
In the party’s official statement, ANP paid tribute to the martyrs on their anniversary and emphasized the significance of the public gathering in Chaman. The statement noted that for the past five decades, the Pashtun homeland has been engulfed in bloodshed, with millions displaced, thousands martyred, and many forced to live with lifelong injuries. The statement condemned the ongoing violence, extremism, abductions, land grabbing, and the relentless looting of Pashtun resources.
“Policies that amount to the economic genocide of Pashtuns continue unabated. In these dire circumstances, the commemoration of the martyrs is of paramount importance,” the statement said.
The party also appealed to the people of Pashtunistan to attend the public gathering in Chaman on Friday, November 22, 2019, and urged party workers and leaders to ensure their full participation in the event.
The tribute to the martyrs was an acknowledgment of the ongoing struggles faced by the Pashtun community and a call for continued resistance and unity in the face of adversity.
