Senator Faisal Vawda’s Comments Ignite Speculation Over Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori’s Position

Islamabad:Senator Faisal Vawda has sparked a fresh debate regarding the stability of Sindh’s Governor, Kamran Khan Tesori, by making a series of allegations. Vawda’s remarks have led many to question whether Governor Tesori’s position is under threat.

In an appearance on a private TV channel, Vawda hinted that a provincial governor was “in trouble,” although he did not directly name the individual. When asked whether the governor’s position appeared to be slipping, Vawda responded, “Yes, I can see it happening very soon.” Without naming the person, he suggested that the individual in question was involved in various unethical practices, including corruption, dishonesty, and creating confusion.

Following these comments, reliable sources revealed that both Faisal Vawda and Governor Kamran Tesori had been advised by certain political figures to refrain from engaging in political rhetoric and instead focus on doing something constructive for the country and its people. The sources pointed out that Governor Tesori has made significant contributions, such as providing IT education to 50,000 students and distributing food aid to 800,000 people. In addition, he has been involved in initiatives like distributing motorcycles, rickshaws, phones, and laptops to students and those in need, making him irreplaceable at the moment.

Notably, several political figures from Punjab, Balochistan, and even federal ministers have visited the Governor’s House in Karachi and acknowledged that they wish to replicate Tesori’s impactful work. Moreover, Governor Tesori has been praised for enhancing the reputation of the university from which both he and Faisal Vawda graduated.

Earlier, in his TV appearance, Faisal Vawda had refrained from directly naming the Sindh governor but clearly indicated his target, alluding to someone facing challenges. Vawda stated that the situation could take one to three months to unfold, signaling potential trouble for the individual involved. The remarks left many speculating that he was referring to Governor Tesori.

In response to the allegations, Governor Tesori fired back, stating that he did not take Vawda’s comments personally. He acknowledged Vawda as a “good player” but suggested that sometimes, even the best players make mistakes, such as accidentally scoring an own goal out of emotion.

Governor Tesori further remarked that both he and Faisal Vawda had studied at the same university, and emphasized that they shared a mutual respect for their alma mater. Despite this, tensions between the two have escalated, particularly after an internal meeting where Tesori allegedly made comments that did not sit well with Vawda. These remarks were reportedly recorded by a political figure close to Vawda and shared with him, leading to Vawda’s angry outburst.

According to sources, there has been a noticeable surge in political activity in Sindh over the past few days, with certain figures positioning themselves as potential replacements. Earlier in August, reports had surfaced about ongoing talks between the PML-N and PPP regarding the replacement of the Sindh governor. It was made clear that if certain political figures had their way, Governor Tesori would be replaced. However, this did not materialize, and Tesori remained in his post.

In a recent statement, Governor Tesori addressed the rumors, saying, “Since the day I arrived, people have been talking about my departure. What worries me more is that the person who is supposed to replace me is yet to make their move.” He added, “I’ve seen it all my life—work hard, don’t indulge in envy.”
