Quetta:In a seminar organized by the Audit Rem in Quetta on Thursday, senior politician Mushahid Hussain Syed lauded Balochistan’s bureaucratic improvements, citing his longstanding 40-year association with the province. Reflecting on his involvement since 2005, when negotiations with Nawab Akbar Bugti were in place based on a parliamentary committee’s report, Syed remarked that had those initiatives been implemented, 70% of Balochistan’s issues could have been resolved today.
Syed emphasized the significance of the seminar as a commendable step towards enhancing good governance practices within Balochistan’s civil service. He praised Chief Minister Mir Sarrfraz Ahmed Bugti’s selection based on merit, highlighting a cultural preference in society for individuals deserving of governmental positions. He also acknowledged the successful completion of one phase of the CPEC project and ongoing work on the second phase, attributing these achievements to Bugti’s leadership and bravery.
The seminar’s discussions underscored the ongoing efforts and challenges in improving governance and administrative efficiency in Balochistan, amid broader societal and developmental aspirations. Syed concluded by urging continued efforts towards transparency, meritocracy, and effective governance to ensure sustained progress and development in the province.
This seminar serves as a testament to Balochistan’s commitment to reform and development, setting a precedent for collaborative efforts in addressing governance challenges across the region.
