Quetta:A seminar held in Quetta, organized by the Southern Services Officer’s Association under the theme of “Good Governance,” brought attention to the critical governance challenges faced in Balochistan. Former assembly member Thanaullah Baloch emphasized the absence of effective dialogue and proper governance structures in the region, stating that Pakistan consistently receives poor ratings on global governance indices. He criticized the misuse of authority for personal gain and pointed out that engineering elections have hindered the promotion of democratic values. Baloch highlighted the lack of infrastructural development, citing the absence of even a single metro road in Balochistan amid the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiatives.
