Quetta:Terrorist attacks across multiple cities in Balochistan have resulted in the deaths of 39 people, including security personnel, and 12 terrorists have been killed. The attacks have involved the destruction of bridges, police stations, and vehicles.
In Musa Khel, Balochistan, terrorists stopped vehicles on the national highway, disembarked passengers, and then opened fire, killing 23 individuals. Following the incident, a heavy police presence was established in the area, and the bodies are being transported to hospitals.
SSP Musa Khel Ayub Achakzai reported that armed individuals set up checkpoints on the inter-provincial highway, forcing passengers out of buses and trucks before shooting them. They also set fire to 20 vehicles, including 10 vans, 6 trucks, 4 pickups, and 2 cars. Police and Levies arrived at the scene and have begun further investigations.
In the district of Sibi, Balochistan, six bodies were found in the Kolpur area. The Assistant Commissioner stated that the victims were shot and their bodies are being sent to the hospital. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed. Police reported that two bodies were found under the rubble of a collapsed bridge, and four others were discovered on the national highway near Kolpur.
In Qalat, Balochistan, armed terrorists’ gunfire resulted in the deaths of 10 people, including a police sub-inspector and four Levies personnel. SSP Qalat Dosteen Dashti confirmed the casualties.
In Mastung, terrorists attacked a Levies post in the Khad Kucha area. Levies sources reported that security forces conducted an operation, ending the terrorists’ control over the post, although the attackers managed to escape. The assailants destroyed several vehicles, motorcycles, and records at the post.
Security sources also noted that on the night of August 24 and 25, terrorists carried out multiple attacks across Balochistan. Security forces and law enforcement agencies effectively responded to these attacks, killing 12 terrorists and injuring several others. Operations will continue until the complete eradication of terrorism.
