Security Forces Conduct Raids Against Smuggling in Quetta, Contraband Seized
Quetta: Security forces have intensified operations against smuggling activities, resulting in significant seizures at the Kolat Quetta Checkpoint. According to authorities, the operation yielded 400 tires and 250 kilograms of narcotics concealed in containers. Additionally, confiscated items included 500 blankets, weapons, and ammunition.
The seized goods will be handed over to customs officials for valuation. Authorities reported that similar operations were conducted between June 9 and July 6 in Gwadar and Turbat, where 42 kilograms of ice methamphetamine and other drugs were confiscated.
The contraband items seized included gutka (chewing tobacco), cigarettes, and spare parts of vehicles, alongside Iranian petrol. With the assistance of security forces, the areas of Kontani and Jiwani have been cleared of smugglers as a result of these operations.
