Security Forces Conduct Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 22 Militants Killed, 6 Soldiers Martyred
Rawalpindi: In a series of successful operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s various districts, security forces have killed 22 militants (referred to as “Khwarij”) and martyred 6 soldiers. The operations took place on December 6 and 7, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military conducted three separate operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all targeting militant hideouts. In the first operation, security forces acted on intelligence reports regarding the presence of militants in the Gul Imam area of Tank district. During the operation, nine militants were killed, and six others were injured and captured.
The second operation took place in North Waziristan, where 10 militants were neutralized. In a third encounter in the Thal district, militants launched an attack on a security forces’ post. During the ensuing firefight, three militants were killed, and six soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice.
The ISPR statement confirmed that clearance operations are ongoing in the region to eliminate any remaining terrorists. The military reaffirmed its commitment to ending terrorism and stated that the sacrifices of its brave soldiers only strengthen the resolve to safeguard the nation.
