Security Forces Allegedly Fire on Baloch Unity Committee’s Gathering in Mastung
Quetta:Sajid Tareen, senior vice president of the Balochistan National Party, has condemned the alleged firing by security forces on a gathering of the Baloch Unity Committee in Mastung. Speaking at a press conference in Quetta Press Club, Tareen accused the government of attempting to disrupt the peaceful assembly, aimed at forming a united front for Baloch rights. He expressed concerns over the increasing use of force against peaceful demonstrators in Balochistan, comparing it unfavorably to negotiations with extremist groups elsewhere in the country. Tareen called for solidarity among political parties to address the region’s challenges, asserting that the targeting of Baloch and Pashtun communities must end to avoid further human rights violations and crises.
