Saudi Arabia Announces 4-Day Eid al-Fitr Holidays for Private and Non-Profit Sectors

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia has announced a 4-day holiday for the private and non-profit sectors to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. According to the ministry, the holidays will begin on Saturday, 29th Ramadan 1446 AH, corresponding to March 29, 2025, and will last for four days.

In addition, the ministry has also declared Eid al-Fitr holidays for all schools in the kingdom. School holidays will start on Thursday, 20th Ramadan 1446 AH, corresponding to March 20, 2025, and will continue until Sunday, 8th Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to April 6, 2025. This means students will have a total of 17 days off.

Furthermore, various universities in Saudi Arabia have also scheduled their Eid holidays in accordance with their academic calendars, starting from 20th Ramadan 1446 AH (March 20, 2025). It is worth noting that some Saudi universities had already announced holidays for their students at the beginning of Ramadan.
