Ahead of the much-anticipated Pakistan vs India match, former Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed reminisced about the thrilling 2017 Champions Trophy final, where Pakistan emerged victorious. Sarfraz acknowledged the immense pressure that comes with a Pakistan-India match, describing it as a “pressure game” with excitement that surpasses any other match.

He shared that it was his first match as captain against India in the Champions Trophy, and defeating India in the final was a monumental achievement, both as a player and as a captain. Sarfraz emphasized that while it may seem like an easy task today, winning that final was extremely difficult. He added that winning such an event for the country is a memory that will last a lifetime.

Pakistan and India will face off on Sunday, February 23, in Dubai, with Pakistan looking to defend their title as the reigning champions. Pakistan’s campaign in the Champions Trophy began with a 60-run loss to New Zealand, and to reach the semi-finals, Pakistan must win both their upcoming matches against India and Bangladesh.
