Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind Criticizes Government’s Inaction and Rising Corruption in Balochistan

Quetta:Former federal minister and senior politician Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind has expressed his concern over the ongoing military operations in Balochistan, stating that he believes the operation has never truly stopped. He also prayed for the safe return of the abducted child, Masoor Khan Kakr, in Quetta, who was kidnapped recently.

In a conversation with the media outlet *UNA*, Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind criticized the current provincial government for its alleged corruption, stating that the government has broken all previous records of corruption in Balochistan. He accused the ruling elite of looting the province’s resources while the common people suffer from rising poverty. Meanwhile, the wealth of the rulers continues to increase.

He remarked, “In the recent meeting of the AFC (Advisory Finance Committee), the decision to continue military operations in Balochistan raised a lot of questions. The reality is that the military operation never actually stopped. Violence and instability are on the rise, and the plundering of Balochistan’s resources continues unabated.”

Sardar Rind criticized the government for being more interested in exploiting the province’s natural resources rather than addressing the needs of the people. “The rulers of Balochistan are not concerned with the welfare of the public but are solely focused on the province’s natural resources,” he added.

Regarding the kidnapping of nine-year-old Masoor Khan Kakr in broad daylight in Quetta, Rind expressed shock, stating that such incidents have sadly become a daily occurrence in the province. “I pray for the safe return of the innocent child to his family,” he said.

On the issue of corruption, Sardar Rind further stated, “In the past, criminals would travel long distances to commit theft, sometimes going as far as 700 kilometers. They would steal from the seventh or eighth house in a neighborhood. But now, they are looting right from their own homes.” He emphasized that the level of corruption in the province has drastically increased compared to previous governments, with the rich getting richer while the common people are becoming even poorer.

“The rulers of Balochistan have no concern for the people; their only concern is exploiting the natural resources of the province,” he said. “The corruption has reached new heights, and the people are suffering while the ruling class continues to amass wealth.”

Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind’s remarks highlight the growing dissatisfaction with the provincial government’s handling of both security and governance issues in Balochistan, where ongoing instability and corruption continue to affect the lives of ordinary citizens.
