Sana Baloch Condemns Delay in Teacher Appointments, Vows Support for Protests

Quetta:Former member of the Balochistan Assembly and senior leader of the Balochistan National Party, Sana Baloch, has strongly condemned the delay in the issuance of appointment orders for teachers in the Special Education and Basic Knowledge (SKB) department. Baloch emphasized that any obstruction in this process would not be tolerated, and vowed to support all forms of protest if necessary.

Sana Baloch accused the provincial government of deliberately delaying the issuance of orders, despite the Supreme Court’s clear ruling in favor of the candidates. “This delay is a blatant violation of the Supreme Court’s decision, and withholding the orders is equivalent to injustice against the youth,” he said, adding that the government was making excuses and issuing misleading statements through its spokespersons, which were undermining the job opportunities for the youth.

He further stated, “From the very beginning, I had warned that an individual with no direct or indirect ties to education had filed a petition in the Balochistan High Court. Today, it is clear that those who are opposed to youth employment were behind it.” Baloch referred to the April 24 ruling by a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, which rejected the Balochistan High Court’s decision and ruled in favor of the candidates. The Supreme Court had ordered the Education Department to issue results and appointment orders as soon as possible.

However, Baloch accused the current government of blocking the process, which he said was in direct defiance of the highest court’s orders. “This process has been delayed for over a year and a half, yet it remains incomplete. This is an outright disregard for the Supreme Court’s directive,” he added.

In his passionate appeal, Baloch urged the government to stop spreading despair among the youth and to prevent further closures of schools in the province. “Please, do not create more hopelessness among the youth. We must save our schools from further closures,” he said. He concluded by assuring the teachers in the SKB department, “InshaAllah, I will be with you in every field, as I have always been.”

Sana Baloch’s remarks highlight the growing frustration among the youth and the education sector in Balochistan, as they continue to await justice and timely action from the government.
