After the recent attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, questions have been raised about his security arrangements, especially given his and Kareena Kapoor’s wealth. Despite being among the top stars in the industry, many wonder why they failed to ensure adequate security.
Following the attack, director Akashdeep Sabhar and his wife Sheba have publicly criticized Kareena Kapoor. In a recent interview, Akashdeep suggested that since Kareena receives a lower salary compared to leading actors, she likely cannot afford a bodyguard for herself. He claimed that although Kareena earns Rs 21 crore, even if she were paid Rs 100 crore, she might only be able to arrange for a night security guard or driver.
Akashdeep further questioned why there was no security guard outside the house, even though the building could have 30 CCTV cameras. He argued that while CCTV cameras help in identifying criminals, they cannot prevent a crime from occurring. He also pointed out that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor did not have a driver at night, which he believes indicates a lapse in security measures.
Sheba, Akashdeep’s wife, added that in many Mumbai homes, there is no space for staff at night, highlighting the need for better arrangements. Akashdeep, however, downplayed the issue, claiming that the media was making it a bigger concern than it truly is.
The attack on Saif Ali Khan occurred on the night of January 16, around 2:30 AM, leaving him seriously injured. He was rushed to Leelavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery following the attack.
