Islamabad:Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and his wife Kareena Kapoor were targeted in an attempted robbery at their Mumbai home, during which the actor was injured while resisting the intruder.
According to Indian media reports, the incident took place around 2:30 AM in the Bandra area of Mumbai. A man reportedly attempted to break into Saif Ali Khan’s residence with the intent of committing theft. When the actor confronted the intruder, he was attacked with a knife, resulting in multiple injuries. Despite the assailant fleeing the scene, Saif Ali Khan sustained significant wounds.
The actor was quickly rushed to Leelavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery. According to the hospital’s COO, Dr. Neeraj Uttmani, Saif Ali Khan suffered six knife wounds, two of which were deep. One of these injuries was particularly close to his spine, which raised serious concerns.
The police have confirmed that an investigation is underway, with authorities recording statements from the family members. The police are also examining CCTV footage from the house in an attempt to identify the perpetrator.
Reports indicate that Saif Ali Khan resides in the Bandra home with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their two children, and thankfully, his family remained unharmed during the attack.
