Quetta:Following severe rainfall and stormy winds, a 132kV tower collapsed between Rakhni and Barkhan recently. According to a spokesperson, the collapse of the tower has disrupted electricity supply to Barkhan and Kohlu grid stations. In response, efforts have commenced to transfer equipment to the site for the tower’s repair and maintenance.
“After dismantling the tower, the work of repair and installation will begin,” the spokesperson stated. It is expected that the restoration work will be completed by Sunday night, allowing electricity supply to resume to Barkhan and Kohlu grid stations.
“We apologize to the consumers of Barkhan and Kohlu for the power outage and appeal for their cooperation,” the spokesperson urged.
