Remote-Control Bomb Blast in Mastung, Three Balochistan Constabulary Personnel Martyred, 19 Injured

Mastung, Balochistan – A remote-control bomb blast targeted a police truck in Balochistan’s Mastung district, resulting in the martyrdom of three personnel from the Balochistan Constabulary and injuring 19 others. The attack took place near Khund Mehsoori on Dast Road. Authorities have condemned the attack, pledging to continue the fight against terrorism until its complete eradication from the country.
According to security sources, the remote-control bomb was detonated using an improvised explosive device (IED) attached to a motorcycle. The blast occurred when the Balochistan Constabulary personnel were traveling back to their station after completing their duty.
Police officials confirmed that three personnel were martyred in the explosion, while 19 others were wounded. The bodies of the martyrs were transferred to a hospital for post-mortem, and the injured were provided with immediate medical assistance.
Following the incident, security forces launched a search operation in the area, cordoning off the region to track down the perpetrators. Shahid Rand, a spokesperson for the Balochistan government, confirmed the attack and stated that the IED was planted on a motorcycle and detonated when the police truck was passing.
Two of the injured personnel are in critical condition and have been transferred to hospitals in Quetta for advanced treatment.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack and expressed his sorrow over the martyrdom of the Balochistan Constabulary personnel. In a statement released by the Prime Minister’s office, he prayed for the martyrs’ souls and extended condolences to their families. He also directed authorities to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the fight against terrorism will continue until its complete eradication, saying, “We will thwart the nefarious designs of terrorists, who are enemies of humanity.”
Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Sardar Baloch also condemned the bombing, stressing that no negligence would be allowed in the treatment of the wounded. He assured that the Balochistan government stands firmly with the martyrs and their families.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his condemnation of the attack, offering solidarity with the families of the martyrs and describing the fallen officers as the nation’s pride.
The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, also expressed deep sorrow over the attack and the martyrdom of Balochistan Constabulary personnel, emphasizing that the nation would not be deterred by such cowardly acts of terrorism.
All leaders shared the sentiment that the sacrifices of these martyrs will never be forgotten, and their contributions to the fight against terrorism will continue to inspire future generations.
