Reham Khan Advises Actress Hania Aamir to Focus on Career Instead of Marriage
Islamabad:Renowned host, filmmaker, and ex-wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, Reham Khan, recently advised Pakistani actress Hania Aamir to refrain from marriage and focus on her career. Reham’s advice quickly went viral on social media, where she shared her thoughts on why young women should prioritize their personal and professional growth.
In a recent interview, Reham Khan explained her reasoning behind offering this advice to Hania Aamir. She emphasized that women, particularly in their early years, should avoid rushing into marriage and instead channel their energy towards building their careers. “I believe young women should strengthen themselves first before considering marriage,” she said, adding that she herself gives this advice to her daughters as well.
Reham also highlighted a common misconception among women that marriage would offer them more freedom. She pointed out that many girls feel restricted at home and believe that marriage will provide them with the independence they seek, but this is not always the case. “Marriage should be a choice, not a necessity,” she stated, noting that women should not feel pressured to marry simply because of societal expectations. She further explained that sometimes, one may not find the right person at all.
According to Reham, both men and women experience pressure to marry, but she believes that neither should succumb to it. She urged parents to understand that daughters are not a burden and should not be treated as such. Reham’s message to parents was clear: “If, God forbid, your daughter faces a divorce and has children, the burden of responsibility will fall on you.” She stressed the importance of providing girls with education and life skills, enabling them to become financially independent and self-sufficient.
Reham Khan’s comments sparked a broader conversation about societal pressures on women to marry and the importance of empowering young women through education and career development.
