Islamabad:Popular Pakistani actress and host Reema Khan, who has been largely away from the entertainment industry, is once again making headlines, this time due to allegations of fraud. Shahid Rafique, a man from Qatar, has accused the actress of deceiving him over an investment related to her film *”Love Mein Gum.”*
### The Allegations:
Shahid Rafique claims that he worked in Qatar and had invested in Reema Khan’s 2009 film *”Love Mein Gum.”* According to Rafique, he returned to Lahore in 2009 to purchase some property. During his visit, he met Reema Khan’s sister, Myra Khan, who was working as a real estate dealer at the time. Rafique says that during their conversation, he expressed his interest in buying land, and Myra suggested that he invest in her sister Reema’s film instead.
Myra reportedly assured Rafique that he could invest around 50-60 lakh rupees for 5-6 months and would earn a profit from the venture. She also arranged a meeting with Reema Khan, after which Rafique transferred the money for the film’s investment. However, Rafique claims that after the initial investment, Myra Khan continued demanding more money.
### The Dispute:
Rafique further alleged that Reema Khan invited him to Malaysia, where the film’s shooting was taking place, and he stayed in the same hotel as the film’s star cast for about 20-25 days. Despite the completion of the film, Rafique said, instead of getting his investment back, he was repeatedly asked for more money without any repayment.
He claims that Reema Khan did not return his money but instead made him sign an agreement, the evidence of which, including bank statements, he says he possesses. Rafique also alleges that Reema Khan later filed a defamation case against him, claiming that he was a fraud and demanding 20 crores in damages.
### Legal Battle:
Rafique took the matter to the civil court, and according to him, the judge ruled that Reema Khan was involved in a fraud of 2.1 million rupees, not him. He further stated that while Reema Khan had lost the case in the civil and sessions courts, she filed an appeal in the High Court, which granted her a stay order. Rafique believes that he will ultimately win the case.

Reema Khan, a former Pakistani film actress, director, and producer, is widely recognized for her stellar performances in hit films such as *Bulandi*, *Nikah*, *Haathi Mera Saathi*, *Chor Machaye Shor*, and *Love Mein Gum*. She is one of the most well-known faces in the Pakistani film industry.
