Red Ball Coach Tim Nielsen’s Journey with Pakistan Cricket Team Comes to an End

Lahore: Tim Nielsen’s tenure as Pakistan’s High Performance Red Ball Coach has come to an end after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided not to extend his contract. Nielsen, who was brought in by Red Ball Head Coach Jason Gillespie, had his contract not renewed ahead of Pakistan’s upcoming Test series against South Africa.
In a conversation with a cricket website, Tim Nielsen expressed his disappointment, stating that he had been waiting for an extension and believed the team was progressing well. “We were preparing for the South Africa and West Indies series, but the PCB informed me that my services would no longer be required,” he said.
Nielsen had been appointed to the role in August with the Pakistan Test team.
