Record Surge in Pakistan Stock Exchange as Index Hits All-Time High

Karachi:The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a historic surge today, with the index reaching a new all-time high.

According to Express News, on the last trading day of the business week, a strong upward trend was observed in the stock market. The market opened on Friday with a notable increase of 1,847.15 points, starting at 120,785.26 points.

In a remarkable turn, the KSE-100 index rose by 1,344.41 points, reaching a peak of 120,282.52 points, marking a new record level for the stock exchange.

However, after reaching these heights, selling pressure increased as investors sought to lock in profits. As a result, the KSE-100 index could not sustain the 120,000-point level and dropped by 1,039 points, settling at 119,977 points.

It is worth noting that despite the imposition of retaliatory tariffs by the U.S. President on 180 countries following Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, the PSX reached its highest-ever level on Thursday.
