Re-polling to Take Place at 15 Polling Stations in PB-45 Quetta Today
Quetta:Voting will take place today at 15 polling stations in **PB-45 Quetta** as part of a re-election process ordered by the Election Tribunal.
According to the Election Commission, out of the 15 polling stations, 10 are designated for male voters and 5 for female voters. A total of 51 polling booths have been set up. All the polling stations have been categorized as “highly sensitive” for security purposes, and in addition to police personnel, Frontier Corps (FC) officials will also be stationed at the polling stations.
It is worth noting that **PB-45 Quetta** was won by **Ali Madad Jatk** of the **Pakistan Peoples Party** in the **general elections on February 8, 2024**. However, his victory was challenged in the election tribunal by **Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F)** candidate **Mir Usman Parkani**.
The election tribunal had ordered a recount at the 15 polling stations in **PB-45**. Later, the **Supreme Court** dismissed an appeal against the tribunal’s decision, allowing the re-polling process to proceed today.
