Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and André Carson Re-Elected to U.S. Congress

Washington: The race for the U.S. presidential election results continues, alongside the ongoing counting of Senate results. The Republican Party has taken control of the Senate, securing a majority.
U.S. media reports indicate that the Republicans have won 12 seats in the Senate, bringing their total to 51 seats, thus gaining a majority. To take control of the Senate, a party requires 51 seats. This gives the Republicans control of the chamber.
In Congressional elections, Palestinian-American Rashida Tlaib has been re-elected to the House of Representatives, winning her seat in Michigan as a Democratic candidate.
Muslim candidate André Carson, also a Democrat, secured his ninth term in Congress, representing Indiana’s 7th District.
Additionally, Ilhan Omar, representing Minnesota’s 5th District, has been re-elected, securing 76.37% of the vote in her race.
The ongoing election results highlight a significant Democratic presence in the U.S. Congress, despite the Republican Senate victory.
