Ranbir Kapoor Reveals Alia Bhatt Is Not His First Wife
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently revealed that Alia Bhatt is not his first wife. In a conversation with Indian media, he shared an amusing incident from his early career involving his first “wife,” who, surprisingly, was one of his fans—not Alia Bhatt.
Ranbir recalled a time during the early days of his career when a fan came to his bungalow with a priest, someone he had never met before. He mentioned that his fan expressed a desire to marry him, but since Ranbir was not at home, she proceeded to “marry” his bungalow’s door. He humorously explained, “Where I used to live with my parents, there were flowers and a tilak on the door. I was out of town at that time, so it was quite odd.”
He further added, “I still haven’t met my first wife, so I hope I meet her one day.”
This revelation amused his fans, as it contrasts with his current relationship with Alia Bhatt. In a previous interview, Alia had spoken fondly of Ranbir, saying that when they first met, she immediately knew he was the right person for her. “I’ll tell you, he is not difficult. He is such a simple person. He’s so good-hearted that I wish I could be as good as he is. As an actor, as a person, in every way, he is a better human being than I am,” she had said.
Ranbir and Alia tied the knot in April 2022, and they have a daughter named Raha. Currently, Ranbir is busy shooting for his upcoming film *Love and War*, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in key roles.
