Ranah Sanaullah Calls Recent Talks with PTI a “Positive Step
Islamabad:Rana Sanaullah, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and advisor to the Prime Minister, described the second round of talks between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as a “positive” discussion, adding that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur made several constructive remarks during the meeting.
After the negotiations committee meeting, Rana Sanaullah spoke to journalists, explaining that Ali Amin Gandapur emphasized that all matters should be resolved through dialogue, which he considered a positive development.
**No Offer for Imran Khan’s Relocation:**
When asked whether an option had been given to PTI Chairman Imran Khan to move to Bani Gala, Rana Sanaullah clarified that, according to his information, no such offer had been made.
**PTI’s Request for Release of Workers:**
Regarding PTI’s request for the release of its workers, Rana Sanaullah said that the PTI delegation had brought up the issue. However, he pointed out that releasing prisoners is the jurisdiction of the courts and not something that the government can decide.
**Military Court Convictions:**
On the topic of whether the release of individuals sentenced by military courts was a result of the ongoing talks, Rana Sanaullah explained that military courts operate under their own procedures and have the authority to both convict and pardon individuals. He emphasized that these matters are handled by the military independently, and the government does not interfere in their process.
Rana Sanaullah reaffirmed that the goal of the negotiations is to create political stability and to maintain dialogue between all parties to address the nation’s issues.
