Mecca: Following a period of intense heat and humidity, Masjid al-Haram experienced a sudden and refreshing change in weather during the Isha prayer time, with a downpour of divine rain.
According to Arab media reports, the scene was spiritually uplifting as the Kaaba was enveloped in rain, making its covering (Kiswah) appear even more radiant and pristine. The rainwater cascading from the roof of the Kaaba enhanced the beauty of the surroundings. Worshippers performed the Isha prayer amid the heavy, stormy rains while lightning flashed across the sky.
The faithful continued their worship with tranquility and expressed their gratitude to Allah for this blessing through their prayers. The weather also became pleasant as the cool breezes alleviated the heat.
Other cities in Saudi Arabia also experienced thunderstorms and rain. Flight operations at Jeddah Airport were affected. Additionally, some cities in the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf countries are witnessing ongoing heavy rainfall.
