Quetta: In a series of operations conducted by Quetta Police and Traffic Police, over 100 non-custom paid vehicles were confiscated and handed over to Customs authorities. Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, oversaw the handover to Chief Collector Customs Balochistan, Muhammad Yaqoob Maku. These vehicles will soon be auctioned off, with proceeds deposited into the national treasury.
IGP Balochistan stated that such operations against non-custom paid and illegal vehicles will continue in the future. Stringent actions are being taken in accordance with the law against non-custom paid vehicles. Abdul Khaliq Sheikh highlighted that Quetta Police conducted extensive operations, including rigorous check posts on internal and external routes of the city, to curb non-custom paid vehicles. The police are undertaking these actions under the directives of the Balochistan High Court to crack down on such vehicles.
This crackdown aims to ensure compliance with customs regulations and maintain law and order on the roads of Quetta.
