Quetta:The President of the Quetta Bar Association, Qari Rehmatullah Kakar, along with General Secretary Ali Bilawal Khosa Advocate, Vice President Hamira Munir Advocate, Vice President Sir Yab Malik Tanveer Islam Shahwani Advocate, Vice President Syed Nasibullah Agha Advocate, Joint Secretary Khalid Naseer Advocate, Finance Secretary Asghar Mandokhail Advocate, and Library Secretary Kamran Bangulzai Advocate, issued a joint condemnation statement under the auspices of the Baloch Unity Committee.
They strongly denounced the extremely shameful behavior of security agencies, police, and authorities during the rally organized for the release of forcibly disappeared Zahid Baloch. The statement called for accountability and action against those involved in the violence. It criticized the current state of authoritarianism in Balochistan, urging the rulers and police to desist from the extremes of oppression and instead adopt practical and serious measures for resolving issues.
In response to the incident, the Quetta Bar Association announced a complete strike across Balochistan today, Friday, in solidarity. They urged the Balochistan government to refrain from using violence against protesters.
