Quetta: Balochistan Government Begins Preparations for Upcoming Budget

The Balochistan government has initiated preparations for the upcoming fiscal year’s budget. Meetings are being held with various departments to finalize budget proposals. According to the Secretary of Finance, the process of budget proposal meetings began on February 3.

He further mentioned that Balochistan regularly receives funds from the federal government under the NFC award. However, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has not yet paid the 60 billion rupees in royalty for Sui gas. Additionally, the federal government owes 39 billion rupees to the province for solarization of agricultural tube wells. The non-payment of 100 billion rupees has contributed to financial difficulties in the province.
