Mumbai: Popular Telugu actor Allu Arjun, known for his role in the blockbuster film Pushpa, was released from jail on Saturday morning after spending a night in custody. The actor had been arrested on Friday in connection with a tragic incident during the premiere of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad.
Following his release, Allu Arjun first visited the office of Geetha Arts, the production company behind his films, where he met with colleagues and industry figures. He was later seen heading home, where he was reunited with his wife Sneha and their children. In an emotional moment, his wife hugged him tightly, visibly relieved to see him after the difficult ordeal.
Fans had gathered outside the jail to catch a glimpse of the actor before his release, though Allu Arjun was quietly taken out through the back gate to avoid the crowd. A video of his release surfaced, showing the actor warmly embracing his family.
Speaking to the media upon his arrival home, Allu Arjun thanked his supporters and expressed his faith in the Indian judicial system. “I have visited Sindhya Theatre over 30 times before, and this incident was an unfortunate accident. It has been a very difficult situation for my family,” he said.
The actorβs arrest stemmed from a stampede during the Pushpa 2 premiere in Hyderabad on December 4, where a 39-year-old woman tragically lost her life and her son was critically injured. Allu Arjun was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on a personal bond of βΉ50,000.
The incident has shaken the film industry, but Allu Arjun’s swift release has provided some relief to his fans and family.
