Mumbai: Allu Arjun’s action-drama film Pushpa 2 continues to make history at the box office with its record-breaking performance. In just four days, the film has grossed ₹529.45 crore in India and surpassed ₹800 crore globally.
Released on December 5 in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam, Pushpa 2 has been making waves since its opening. Not only has Pushpa 2 dominated the Indian box office, but it has also shattered global records. On Sunday, Telugu language showings saw an impressive 73.5% occupancy, with Hyderabad alone reaching 79.5%. Bengaluru and Chennai also saw high participation, with occupancy rates of 67.5% and 65.75%, respectively. The Hindi version performed even better, with Mumbai showing an 88% occupancy rate, while Delhi and NCR achieved 78.25%.
Industry experts have noted that Pushpa 2 has surpassed the opening weekend earnings of other recent hits like Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan, as well as blockbuster films like Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, and KGF 2. This remarkable achievement places Pushpa 2 at the forefront of Indian cinema’s box office success.
