Punjab University Postpones Exams Again, New Schedule to Be Announced

Lahore: Punjab University has announced the postponement of its exams scheduled for December 16, rescheduling them to December 18 without providing any specific reason for the change. A spokesperson for the university confirmed that the revised timetable for the postponed exams would be announced later.
This is not the first time the university has delayed exams. Earlier, due to issues related to smog, exams scheduled for November 25 were postponed by one week. The repeated postponements have caused concern among students, as their academic activities continue to be disrupted.
Meanwhile, schools and colleges in Islamabad and Punjab, both public and private, have been closed on Monday due to security concerns. Notifications regarding the closure were issued by the district administrations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, as well as the Punjab School Education Department.
The closure notification did not specify the exact reason for the break, but the Punjab School Education Department attributed it to the “current security situation.” Amanullah Khan, District Education Authority Rawalpindi, confirmed that the closure notice had been received and forwarded to all schools, though he stated, “We are unaware of the reason for the closure.”
