Punjab Government Offers Full Support to Combat Terrorism in Balochistan: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz
Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has pledged full support to the Balochistan government in its efforts to eliminate terrorism and ensure peace in the region. During a meeting in Lahore on Wednesday with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the two leaders discussed political developments, inter-provincial cooperation, and measures to promote regional harmony.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Bugti shared that the Balochistan government is focused on improving governance and utilizing available resources for the welfare of the public. He also emphasized that the recent incidents of terrorism in Balochistan are part of a conspiracy to undermine national unity and economic stability. He assured that the provincial government is actively working to combat terrorism and restore peace.
In response, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed Punjab’s commitment to assisting Balochistan in its fight against terrorism, stating that the people of Balochistan are like brothers to the people of Punjab. She expressed concern that terrorists aim to disrupt the province’s development and vowed that the Punjab government will provide full support to eliminate terrorism in Balochistan.
The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between the provinces in addressing security challenges and fostering greater national cohesion.
