Under this initiative, 27,000 rural women will receive digital and IT training through an online program, with scholarships provided during the course. Upon completion of the online training, each participant will receive a desktop computer and free Wi-Fi devices.

The training, organized by the Punjab Skills Development Department, will span six months and cover IT fundamentals, web development, and coding. The program includes courses in digital marketing, e-commerce, social media management, graphic design, and multimedia. Additionally, rural women will be taught freelancing, remote work, data entry, office automation, and cybersecurity skills.

Upon successful completion of the online training, participants will be awarded certificates by the Punjab Skills Development Department and will receive job links. This program will enable rural women to work from home, start freelance careers, or even launch online businesses or tech firms. They will have the opportunity to transform their homes into micro-enterprises.

Rural women can apply for the program through the Punjab Skills Development Department’s website at psdf.org.pk.

Rural women will be able to compete in the global IT market from their homes in Punjab.

The Chief Minister further added that 27,000 rural women will become pioneers of the digital revolution in Punjab. This digital training will lead to improvements in education, gender equality, dignified employment, and reduced economic disparity, ultimately empowering rural women through IT and digital technology.
