Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Announces Distribution of 50,000 Laptops to Bright Students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that the provincial government will distribute 50,000 laptops to talented students as part of the Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025. The initiative, which aims to support students in their academic pursuits, will not require online applications. Instead, educational institutions will compile student data, which will then be verified and forwarded to the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) for final approval.

According to reports, the registration process for the laptops will begin in February 2025, with the distribution expected to take place in April or May 2025. The first batch of laptops has already arrived in Pakistan and will soon be distributed among eligible students.

Under this scheme, students will receive 13th-generation Core i7 laptops. The program is designed to include not only students from minority groups but also those who have excelled in secondary and higher secondary school exams. Furthermore, students pursuing education in fields like Computer Science, Medicine, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Business, Languages, Veterinary Medicine, and Agriculture will be eligible for the laptops.

The announcement highlights the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to promote education and provide resources to students, ensuring they have access to the latest technology to enhance their learning experience.
