PTI’s Junaid Akbar Denies Reports of Removing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin Gandapur

In response to rumors about the potential removal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, PTI’s provincial president Junaid Akbar has dismissed these claims, stating that there is no truth to such reports. Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Akbar acknowledged having differences with Ali Amin Gandapur but emphasized that such disagreements are common within political parties and should not be blown out of proportion.

Junaid Akbar clarified that while Aftab Khan is aligned with him, as the president of Peshawar region, Aftab Khan cannot continue to work alongside the Chief Minister. He mentioned that when differences surfaced within the party, senior leadership took notice of the Chief Minister’s statement and advised both sides to exercise patience. He further added that the political committee would resolve the matter soon.

Regarding protests, Akbar confirmed that PTI would follow any orders related to demonstrations, stating that a province-wide protest movement is set to begin next week.

The situation within PTI has become increasingly tense, with visible conflicts between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin Gandapur and Aftab Khan. Additionally, former Minister Azam Swati has opened a new front against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, accusing him of abusing his authority. Babar Saleem Swati has responded by submitting a reply to PTI’s accountability committee.
