PTI Unlikely to Launch Effective Movement Against Government, Says MNA Sheer Afzal Marwat

Islamabad: Member of National Assembly Sheer Afzal Marwat has stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is not capable of launching an effective movement against the government.

In an interview on Geo News’ program “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath,” Sheer Afzal Marwat said that the movement to free PTI’s founder had faded into the background. He emphasized that the party is facing internal divisions, with decisions being made poorly and an atmosphere of infighting prevailing.

Marwat further revealed that those who once facilitated decisions by the PTI founder are no longer in the picture, specifically mentioning that Ali Amin Gandapur’s name has been removed from the decision-making process. Despite being in Islamabad for the past 8 to 10 days, Gandapur has not been allowed to meet the party founder. Marwat expressed concerns that the obstacles might be created by individuals within their own ranks.

He concluded by stating that PTI is currently incapable of effectively challenging the government, adding that the rift between PTI and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) has been instigated by both the PTI founder and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
