PTI to Appeal in High Court Against Qadir Trust Case Verdict

Islamabad:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will file an appeal in the High Court today against the decision in the Qadir Trust case.

In a media briefing, party chairman Barrister Gohar stated that the case was politically motivated, and the prosecution had failed to prove its case. He also mentioned that the government’s own witness had acknowledged that the government did not suffer any loss due to the matter.

Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Umar Ayub, emphasized that the real question in the Qadir case should be directed to Hassan Nawaz, asking how he transferred money to the UK to purchase and later sell property.

Additionally, PTI leader Asad Qaiser confirmed that PTI will file an appeal against the Qadir Trust case decision in Islamabad High Court on Tuesday. He criticized the 26th constitutional amendment, claiming that it had undermined the judicial system, and expressed that the current government is unable to effectively run the parliament.

Zartaj Gul expressed her concerns, stating that the entire Punjab is under siege, with the “TikTok Chief Minister” forcibly imposed upon the largest province.

It is worth noting that recently, the Accountability Court issued a written decision in the 190 million pound reference related to Qadir University Trust, in which Imran Khan was found guilty of corruption and corrupt practices. The written verdict sentenced the founder of PTI to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 1 million rupees, while Bushra Bibi was convicted for facilitating and assisting in the corruption and sentenced to 7 years in prison.
