PTI Sends Dossier and Letter to IMF Mission in Islamabad, Highlighting Election Rigging Allegations and Political Pressures

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sent a dossier and a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Islamabad, which has also been shared with the Chief Justice of Pakistan. According to Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, the dossier contains evidence related to alleged electoral rigging in last year’s general elections and highlights the political pressures faced by PTI.
Omar Ayub, in a statement, confirmed that the dossier includes proof of how PTI’s mandate was allegedly stolen and how the party faced suppression during the election process. He also referred to PTI’s founder, Imran Khan’s meeting with the IMF delegation on October 7, 2023, where Khan emphasized the importance of rule of law and transparent elections in the country.
Ayub emphasized that for political and economic stability in Pakistan, it is crucial for international organizations and relevant stakeholders to address PTI’s concerns. He expressed confidence that the rule of law will be prioritized in all matters concerning Pakistan’s future.
