PTI Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja Denied Entry to Adiala Jail to Meet Imran Khan
On Tuesday, Barrister Salman Akram Raja, the General Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was stopped from visiting PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
Speaking to the media, Salman Akram Raja stated that he was carrying an order from the Anti-Terrorism Court, and preventing him from entering the jail was an act of contempt of court and a violation of basic rights.
He further raised concerns about the long trial dates set in Adiala Jail, expressing doubts about the judicial proceedings.
Raja also mentioned that FIRs should be filed regarding the conflict between Shuaib Shaheen and Fawad Chaudhry, clarifying that Fawad Chaudhry is no longer part of PTI.
In the meantime, security around Adiala Jail has been heightened, with containers placed along the routes leading to the jail.
